Rodrigo Albuja

Rodrigo Albuja is an economist from Universidad Central del Ecuador with a Master and PhD in Economics of Development from University of Paris (Sorbonne) in 1979.
His professional development has concentrated in free trade zones, international economic relations, economic integration, foreign trade, economic policy, economic research, environmental economics, sustainable economics and labor economics. He was assistant Secretary for sustainable economics in Ecuador from 1997-1998 and of employment and human resources from 1996-1997.
He has advised the Andean Nations Community, Interamerican Development Bank and World Bank on issues of free trade zone, draw back, trade promotion capacity and export strategy.
Currently, he is a consultant with BG Consulting Inc, responsible for coordinating projects in free trade areas and export promotion.
Rodrigo has been professor at Universidad Central del Ecuador and Universidad Católica del Ecuador in international trade economics.
